⚠️ Important Disclaimer (Read First)

All data comes from the NSE (National Stock Exchange) and is end-of-day (EOD) data — it is not live/real-time.
This screener only includes stocks that have Futures & Options (F&O) contracts. Stocks that trade only in the cash market (no F&O) will not appear, or will show incomplete data.
Occasionally, NSE’s data feed has errors or delays. This can cause some fields to show #N/A on a given day. This is a data issue, not a system error, and usually resolves by the next update.

1. What This Screener Does
Scans NSE F&O stocks daily using Price Action, Open Interest (OI), Max Pain, and Rate of Change (ROC).
Helps shortlist stocks that may have interesting setups — it does not give final buy/sell decisions.
Data refreshes once per day, after market close.

2. Filters Explained
Search stocks – Look up a specific stock by ticker.
All Actions – Filters by signal: SBUY (Suggested Buy), MUSTELL (Must Sell), or #N/A (no signal).
All Buy/Sell – Filters by bias: LONG, SHORT, EXLONG (exit long), EXSHORT (exit short).
All OI Data – Filters by open interest trend (explained below).
All ROC – Filters by daily momentum: Positive ROC or Negative ROC.
Reset – Clears all filters.

3. Columns Explained
Ticker – Stock symbol on NSE.

ROC (Rate of Change) – The stock’s % price change for the day. Positive = up today, Negative = down today.

PAIN (Max Pain) – A derivatives concept. It’s the strike price at which option buyers would lose the most money, and option writers would pay out the least, at expiry. Often used as a reference price the stock may drift toward closer to expiry. It is not a guaranteed target. Only applies to F&O stocks.

Action – System-suggested action: SBUY or MUSTELL.

LTP – Last Traded Price.

OI Data – Open Interest trend category (explained below).

LB – (To be confirmed before publishing.)

SPIVOT – Suggested pivot price for the day.

Support / Resist – Nearest support/resistance level.

Trigger Price – The price that would confirm/activate the suggested action.

Target – Projected price target if the setup plays out.

Reversal – Level at which the current view is invalidated.

Resist / Support – A secondary resistance/support level.

Open – Opening price for the day.

Note: #N/A can mean either:

The stock has no F&O contracts, so OI/PAIN data doesn’t exist, or
A temporary NSE data-fetch error for that field.

4. Open Interest (OI) Categories Explained
Long Buildup – Price up + OI up → New buyers entering → Bullish
Long Unwinding – Price down + OI down → Buyers exiting → Weakening bullish trend
Short Buildup – Price down + OI up → New sellers entering → Bearish
Short Covering – Price up + OI down → Sellers exiting → Weakening bearish trend

5. ROC & PAIN — How to Read Them
ROC shows how much the stock moved today — it’s a short-term snapshot, not a trend by itself.
PAIN (Max Pain) gives a derivatives-based reference price, most relevant closer to expiry week.
Neither should be used alone to make a trade decision — they’re meant to help filter/shortlist stocks only.

6. How to Use the Screener
Use the search bar or filters (Action, Buy/Sell, OI Data, ROC) to shortlist stocks matching your strategy.
Check the Trigger Price, Target, and Reversal levels for context.
Do not trade directly based on screener output. It is only meant to narrow down a list of stocks.
Before considering any investment, students must independently analyze each shortlisted stock using:
Trend analysis – price action, market structure, support/resistance
RSI – to check overbought/oversold conditions and divergence
Volume – to confirm real participation behind the move

Only after this independent technical analysis should a decision be considered.

7. Key Reminders
This is an educational shortlisting tool, not a source of trade recommendations.
Only F&O stocks are included — cash-only stocks are excluded.
Data is end-of-day only, not for real-time execution.
#N/A simply means either “not an F&O stock” or “temporary data error” — not a malfunction.
Students must perform their own trend, RSI, and volume analysis before making any investment decision. This screener only helps filter stocks — it does not replace independent analysis.
